Formnext 2020 isn’t looking likely to be canceled – if its organizers have anything to say about it.

The leading additive manufacturing trade fair announced in a press release that the show is still expected to be held in Frankfurt from November 10 to 13, 2020 as long as it’s legally allowed and will run mostly as planned.

“We remain convinced of the unique value and advantages of a physical exhibition,” stated Formnext vice president Sascha F. Wenzler in the press release, adding despite that, the fair will add more digital options. These could include giving exhibitors the ability to “present products and solutions digitally.”

In order to protect visitors’ health, the fair will reduce the density of people, have “high hygiene standards” and will introduce contact tracing.

“Ultimately, even in these challenging times, we want to organize a trade show that is as responsive as possible to the current situation and the needs of participants and the market,” stated Wenzler.
